Life-Altering Gadget of the Day: Want to know the sex of your child? There’s an app for that.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis has developed software which allows an ordinary cell phone to display Ultrasound data fed to it from a portable USB Ultrasound device.

This important advancement will make it possible for Ultrasound technology to be brought into remote areas where it is currently unavailable.
